The water was so warm. I wish I had worn shorts down to the beach. It was a very windy day though. They had actually forcast a mini hurricane at the coast of San Diego, which is almost unheard of.

On our way to Vegas we stopped and had lunch with Brooke because Syd insisted. She said, "Mom I need a serious dose of sarcasm right now."
Syd was talking about a date her friends were setting her up on. Brady was sitting with us and he says, " I don't know why you would want to go on a date with a blind guy." We both looked at each other and started laughing. We realized when she talked about a "blind date" he thought we literally meant he was blind.
I have a friend named Brooke. My girls adore her. She is funny, witty, and as sarcastic as they come. Sydney said to me the other day. "Mom, I need a Brooke of my own. I hope that when I get older I will find me a Brooke."
So Brady was having a conversation with his friend on the way home from school and he says, "do you know what an exchange student is"? Gage says, "No". Well it's like when your brother goes to college or something and you get someone from another country to come live at your house".
Brady and Andrew were driving down the road and he says to Drew, "It would be fun to be a fireman because you could bring marshmallows and chocolate and stuff and for the first minute you could make smores and then you could put out the fire."
We are on our way to lunch on the last day of school and Landon says, "we all got award's today". I reply, "oh really, what did you get one for?" So he preceeds for read it to me. "The ornery award for critical thinker. I start to laugh and say, oh boy Mrs. Shenton sure knows you if she gave you the ornery award." Then I look at the paper and it says, honarary award for most "critical thinker". I laughed so hard I almost peed my pants.
We were discussing a family in the ward that blessed their baby today, and we were saying that the baby had a name that all three names ended in "un" sound. I told the kids I tried really hard not to give them names that all three had the same ending. Such as...Conner Ryder Porter. Brady then says, "I'm going to try real hard not to name my kids nu, nu, nun.
