Viva Las Vegas
We left for Vegas Tuesday morning. Crammed everyone in the car and took off. Our first stop was at the Saturn dealership. We are looking at buying a new car and since we don't have a Saturn dealership here in IF, I wanted to stop and check one out. Then we drove down to Ceder City. We drove up the canyon thinking we would head up to Bryce Canyon. Little did we know it was about 2 1/2 hours away. When we figured that out we decided we would hit it on the way back. We found our hotel and settled in for the night. The next morning we got up early so that we could get to Vegas before ten and hit the cheap tickets place and get seats for the Tournament of Kings. As we were hitting Vegas we realized that they were an hour behind us and we were happy because we were getting close to the time the tickets went on sale. Luckily we were able to get seats for the 8:30 show. We hung out the rest of the day and saw some of the sights, had lunch, and bought souvenirs. Then we checked into our hotel at the Stratosphere.
We had given the boys strict instructions not to look up at the billboards, at any buses or trucks driving by, don't look at the ground, and definitely do NOT take any flyers from the guys standing on the streets. So basically we should have just blindfolded them. They were pretty taken back by all the skin shown.
We had a blast at the show that night, and we were definitely the best country (although we were France:( )....we really cheered for our HOT King. The girls loved the show and I think the boys did too. Later that night we walked down the strip so that we could check out more of the casinos and all the cool attractions. We made it down to Caesars Palace. Then we sat there until Drew walked back and got the car. The boys crashed while we waited.
We got up early the next morning so we could see more. We went up to the top of the Stratosphere...that was really cool....the kids (except Brady...he was to small) went on the Roller Coaster at NY, NY. We bought some more souvenirs and from there we headed up to Hoover Dam. What an amazing structure.....I just stood in awe over the vastness of the whole thing.
We made it to Bryce Canyon pretty late in the day and unfortunately the light was almost gone.
We pulled into our driveway about 3:30 A.M. If I overlook all the fighting in the back seat it was a good trip. We saw a lot and nobody got lost. They may be a little less innocent, but . . . .

Vegas is a fun place - but honestly - the whole Strip should be rated PG-13 at the least! So glad you guys had a fun time. We missed you at Yoga.
You aare so brave and basically the coolest mom ever!
